Last battle I did was about 1 hour. Commander was down to 74 HP, then up to 8500 HP, then fought against black dragons, implosions, then got necro expert and my 700 zombies finally killed the enemy.

Algor, once commander gets shooting ability he will lose double attack for the entire battle, as he remains in ranged mode, no matter ammo or not. Given that AI is big time cheating, this bug is really unfair. IMO shooting ability should be removed from commander options, anyway is unplayable, with all the monsters around.
Where is that click on "defend" icon to switch between melee/ranged?

Ок. Для каждого уровня дипломатии (-/Б/П/Э) определен свой набор/"сила" услуг гильдий и шансов их выпадения. На Экспертном уровне доступны лучшие и самые эффективные услуги с большими шансами выпадения.
Т.о. если герой начинает игру с Продвинутой/Экспертной дипломатией, он может за счет чистого везения получить критическое преимущество и бой пройдет неинтересно (если дипломатия у человека) или обидно (если у ИИ).
Чтобы этого избежать было введено ограничение на использование Дипломатии: до 15 раунда при определении набора/шансов выпадения услуг считается, что Дипломатия не может быть выше Базовой, до 30 раунда - не выше продвинутой.
Т.е. в полную силу Базовая дипломатия работает сразу, Продвинутая - только с 15, а Экспертная - с 30 раунда.
Сформулируешь кратко и понятно? У меня, по понятным причинам, "глаз замылен".

will make the button work. Because as it is now, there are zero reasons a player would choose shooting. It is a penalty.
Here is a mini mod made by me, because I much dislike the original commanders graphics. The mod gives 17 random commanders graphics to Battle Heroes mod.

Battle Heroes works in multiplayer? Should be excellent in MP.
Wonderful idea with commanders and no, currently MP is not supported.
