V_Maiko, agree. Already implementing composite images support. During DEF png frame loading, new image is created with background taken from another image like zpic1005.png. Thus we get the same effect as having 2 layers in Photoshop. This composite image is saved in memory. So interface buttons can support transparency.

The def-file should remain in pac-file, you just add its frames as png files to Mods\Your mod\Data\Defs\name of your def\*.png.
The first frame in def will look like 0_0.png, the second 0_1.png and so on...

The same. Group of frames with transparent color support. Animated defs are supported in custom DL-dialogs.
Какой рабочий путь для замены портретов монстров в ERA 3.8?
По "Data\Defs\TwCrPort.def\0_0.png" замены не происходит как ни крути.

Сейчас спецом зашел проверить, все работает, портреты отображаются, в том числе с прозрачностью.
\Mods\Имя мода\Data\Defs\TwCrPort.def\0_0.png
XEPOMAHT, 0_0 — подложка? 0_2 - копейщик не улучшенный. А путь верный.
