Maybe one day I will try to make a "balanced" WoG options mod (Wog lite), where I disable all the clearly imbalanced options and replace them with softer versions. I also think that several options are out of place. We already started to rewrite several WoG options in Advanced Classes Mod.
One must remember that WoG lives from these options, so just removing them is not the best solution. The spirit must be preserved.
With options I only mean secondary skill changes, artifacts, hero specialisations, artifacts, creature balances, commanders and stack experience.
Example: Resistance I option
Downgrade 3 enemy stacks at Expert
While the idea is somewhat cool for buffing the skill, downgrading three stacks is way to strong. In Hotseat games if your LvL8 or LvL7 get downgraded ist gg
So the effect should be reduced to 1 stack maximum and maybe execlude LvL 7 and 8 monsters.
Another example Mysticism I option
Regenerates 30% of total Spell Points.
Very good idea to make it percentage bases but 30%?! come on... you'll never run out of spell points again. So it should be somewhat around 10% +a small fixes number.
There are many more examples like this, ofc these are just my feelings, other people could see it completly different. But if discussed carefully I think one could agree on many things that "need" changing.
