				igrik and  Berserker, not sure whether this has to be done via ERA or BattleReplay plugin, but is it possible to have the same obstacles on the battlefield with each battle replay (with the "Mersenne Whirlwind" update)?  
It makes sense to have a replayed battle with the same obstacles settings so you can try again and see if your new tactics work.

				RNG must be called once [advance 1 step] after the seed is set and before generating obstacles to mimic code behaviour. That's because after the seed is set based on x/y/z the first RNG call is for the combat music id, and second+ are obstacles.

				igrik, concerning clones problem, doesn't work or at least it didn't fix the main problem: two hexes automatic clones (!!EA) still place over units if in the next or 2 squares away, making them invisible for that round, then next round possible crash ...
