V_Maiko, agree. Already implementing composite images support. During DEF png frame loading, new image is created with background taken from another image like zpic1005.png. Thus we get the same effect as having 2 layers in Photoshop. This composite image is saved in memory. So interface buttons can support transparency.

Berserker, Perfect! 20 a couple of years ago I tried to redo the buttons without the annoying cropped backgrounds, but was unsuccessful, now with PNG support it will be a reality 96

planetavril, actually you don't replace def itself, you change only its cadres by png images.

The def-file should remain in pac-file, you just add its frames as png files to Mods\Your mod\Data\Defs\name of your def\*.png.
The first frame in def will look like 0_0.png, the second 0_1.png and so on...

Berserker, I have an idea, we can replace the animated gifs by sequence of images .png frame by frame, obviously I don't know how to make a folder address for independent images (gifs), but everything else I feel is possible

Berserker, Well, def is not the same as gif, at least not in the way it is used Rolleyes Another question that led me regarding that, can defs be used in game dialogs and I never realized it? I mean, animated defs within another def...

The same. Group of frames with transparent color support. Animated defs are supported in custom DL-dialogs.

Какой рабочий путь для замены портретов монстров в ERA 3.8?

По "Data\Defs\TwCrPort.def\0_0.png" замены не происходит как ни крути. 112

Сейчас спецом зашел проверить, все работает, портреты отображаются, в том числе с прозрачностью.
